I feel bad for my accountant friends. I really do. I can’t
imagine sitting at a desk all day, crunching numbers, staring at the clock
wondering when it will be time to go home. And then doing it all over again
tomorrow. Certainly not for me. I was thinking about them yesterday. While they
were at their desks, I was in a beautiful old mansion on Richmond Ave. watching
a scene unfold from what should have been the ringer in the 2008 Onion Awards.
We had bubbles – lots of bubbles – a camera, an 1886 claw foot tub, a new
Buffalonian, a television, an electrical wire mess, and an incredible idea.
Risky – right? I hope you’ll be as excited as I am to see what we make of it.
In the end it will be this day, only one of many, that makes for an award-winning,
incredibly effective client campaign. Sure beats spreadsheets and data entry.
No offense, of course.
So maybe it wasn’t a typical day, but it was a workday nonetheless. And it’s what makes me want to get up in the morning and come to work.
